“Working with Frankman has given the Palace Theatre a new lease of life and energy.”
This small and friendly South Devon theatre and arts venue has a 368-seat auditorium, café-bar and Arena arts space.
Now managed by Jazz Hands, a Community Interest Company, the theatre works closely with Bijou theatre Productions, Doorstep Arts, Paignton Pantomime Productions and a wide range of touring companies to offer a full and exciting programme for South Devon residents and visitors.

Where we Started
When Maureen McAllister and Deirdre Makepeace formed the Community Interest Company Jazz Hands, we were very keen and delighted to support their vision for revamping the local Palace Theatre.
The Brief
Maureen and Deirdre’s vision and plans were very exciting and they wanted to bring a new excitement to the Theatre and develop it as a cultural and fun place to go for an evening of great entertainment, no matter what your age.
The Outcome
“The new brand and theme for the Palace Theatre has given us so much more than we could have envisaged, we have secured fanstastic acts and shows, as well as being able to host many other private and corporate events, we even have a wedding booked in 2020.”
Since the relaunch of the Palace Theatre, they have won numerous awards, including:
English Riviera Tourism Awards, for Access and Inclusivity and for Tourism Innovation, along with Best Live Performance Theatre in the Family and Visitor Attraction Awards.
